- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Being prior military, I have lived all over the country. That being the case, I have had experiences with both public, and private schools, in many different states and districts. Never in my life have I experienced a school trying so hard to come up with reasons for kids to not have to be there. Half days every week? No school I have ever been involved with has done this. That, coupled with these ridiculous "holidays" off (you've got to be kidding me with February 13th off because Lincoln's birthday is on the Sunday before), and there is no way these kids are getting an entire school year in.By Michael Myers, August 08, 2017
